REFUND POLICY

Refunds & Revisions

Last updated: July 31, 2026. Honest, straightforward refund and revision policy, designed to protect veterans who deserve fair treatment.

Full Refunds Before Document Preparation

If after reviewing your submitted records I determine I cannot honestly write a favorable medical opinion, I will notify you by email before any document is prepared, explain my reasoning, and refund your payment in full. You only pay for opinions I can honestly write under my license and credentials.

Refunds After Document Delivery

Once a medical opinion has been written and delivered, a refund is not automatic. The work has been performed, significant time and clinical expertise invested, the document is yours to use regardless of the VA’s decision, and VA claim outcomes are determined solely by the VA, not by the quality of the opinion.
That said, if something has genuinely gone wrong, I review these situations personally, case by case. Contact me directly, tell me what happened, and I’ll work with you to make it right, whether that’s a revision, a partial or full refund where warranted, or another solution. I’d always rather resolve a real problem directly than leave a veteran feeling shortchanged. Beyond this, I offer two standing protections that go further than most providers.

Free Revisions

If your delivered opinion needs clarification, correction, or adjustment, email me directly within 90 days of delivery and I will revise it at no additional charge, typically within 24 hours. Revisions cover the conditions and records originally submitted. Common requests: clarifying clinical reasoning, adding supporting citations, adjusting language for VA-specific terminology, or correcting any factual errors or omissions. If new conditions or new records come into play, that is new work rather than a revision, and I’ll quote it before starting.

Honest Review of Any VA Decision

If the VA issues a decision on your claim, email me with a copy of the decision letter and rating decision. I’ll personally review it and we’ll work out the best course of action together, including whether a rebuttal letter would help. I don’t offer blanket free rebuttals, but I’ll give you an honest assessment of next steps at no cost. If a rebuttal letter would help, I write those for $199, addressing the VA’s specific stated reasons for denial.

No Guarantee of VA Outcome

I make no guarantee of VA claim approval, rating decisions, or compensation outcomes. The VA makes all rating and benefit decisions independently. A medical opinion is one piece of evidence, the VA considers many factors. Refunds are not available based on VA decisions.

Chargebacks and Disputes

Before initiating a chargeback or dispute with your card provider, please contact me directly to resolve any concerns. Most issues can be resolved quickly with a free revision or honest conversation. Chargebacks initiated without first contacting me may result in loss of free revision benefits, refusal of future services, and recovery of legal and processing fees.

How to Request a Refund or Revision

Email me directly at dprotaziuk@veteranmedicalopinions.com with your order confirmation or order number, the reason for the request, and (for a decision review) a copy of the VA decision letter. I personally respond to all refund and revision requests, typically within 24 hours.

Note: This refund policy is incorporated into the Terms of Service. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.
